MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Aeroflot suspended ticket sales to Turkey for Russian citizens and revised its flight schedule to Istanbul after Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) suspended flights to Turkey after the attempted coup.
Earlier, it was reported that Rosaviatsiya was resuming regular flights from Russia to Turkey starting from Friday, July 22.
"In connection with guarantees on adopting measures of increases air security presented by the Turkish side, starting from 00:00 22.07.2016 Rosaviatsiya cancelled all restrictions imposed earlier on the performance of regular flights between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Turkey, including the transport of Russian citizens from the territory of Russia to the Republic of Turkey and of transit passengers through airports of the Republic of Turkey to other countries. Aeroflot is opening ticket sales to Istanbul and Antalya through all channels," Aeroflot said in a statement.
