Talks With Taliban Needed to Accelerate Political Solution for Afghanistan
It is also added in the report that the human rights situation in Afghanistan remained poor in 2015, with the Taliban insurgency continuing to be the major threat to the human rights of the local residents.

"The overall human rights picture in 2015 remained poor. The insurgency continues to be the biggest threat to the human rights of all people in Afghanistan…The ongoing insurgency affected access to education, health, and freedom of movement," the report reads.

Afghanistan is in a state of political and social turmoil, with government forces fighting the continuing Taliban insurgency, while other extremist groups, such as the Islamic State group, outlawed in many countries including the United States and Russia, have also expanded their activities both in the country and in neighboring states.
