Ever since the launch of the immensely popular Pokemon Go app, a large number of Pokemon-maps have been created around the world, but they are mostly based on statistical data and merely show the areas where Pokemon are likely to spawn.
Unlike them, the new tool created by the Moscow Coding School, pikapika.space, displays Pokemon locations in real-time. The map is integrated with Google, which allows hunters to plot an optimal route to their targets. Furthermore, each Pokemon location displayed on the map has a timer which shows how much time is left until the digital creature is likely to de-spawn.
"We intend to keep improving our service on a daily basis until it becomes a full-fledged Pokemon search engine for Moscow that can help plan a hunting route between one’s home and workplace, and would help the city residents to collect the maximum possible number of Pokemon," Moscow Coding School coordinator and map developer Alexander Bratchikov said.
The map was based on a Pokemon Go map data library developed by a programmer named Ahmed Almutawa.
