MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On Monday, an independent World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) commission led by Canadian law professor Richard McLaren presented a report, accusing Russia of overseeing a state-wide doping program.
"There will be an IOC meeting where a decision on the whole [Russian] delegation at the 2016 Rio Olympics will be made. IOC President [Thomas] Bach, who is Olympic champion himself, has no right to make a negative decision on [Russian] athletes. It would be a bombshell," Tiagachev said.
Following the release of the report, the IOC said on Tuesday that it would "explore the legal options with regard to a collective ban of all Russian athletes for the Olympic Games 2016 versus the right to individual justice."
