DEREVNYA DVORIKI (Russia) (Sputnik) – The situation in Syria has seen significant changes, and preconditions for a victory against terrorism and establishment of a true intra-Syria dialogue are emerging, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Friday.
"The situation in Syria has seriously changed in the past seven months, and precnditions have emerged for us to defeat terrorists and to organize the truest intra-Syria dialogue, so that only Syrians themselves could decide the future of their country," Lavrov said speaking at a forum.
Washington is committed to make further advances on the measures to settle the Syria crisis agreed by US State Secretary John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, US State Department spokesman John Kirby told Sputnik earlier on Friday.
