ANKARA (Sputnik) – Earlier this week, Russian carrier Aeroflot resumed ticket sales for flights to Istanbul and Antalya.
"We lifted restrictions on ticket sales to Russian citizens on our flights," the official said.
Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) suspended air traffic to Turkey on July 16, one day after a violent coup attempt unfolded in the country.
Russia’s flag carrier Aeroflot later said it suspended ticket sales to Turkey for Russian citizens, and revised its flight schedule to and from Istanbul to once a day as of July 26. Charter flight suspensions have not been lifted.
