MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The statement was issued following the Power-Gen conference in South Africa’s Johannesburg.
"By the end of 2020 we will have built 610MW wind farms in most energy-deficient regions of Russia with a high wind power potential. This is about 17% of the total wind power industry capacity planned for commissioning in Russia before 2024," the statement said.

The statement added that Rosatom intended to focus on southern Russian regions such as the Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Adygea and the Rostov Region.
