The Indian Minister of State for Labour and Employment will also address the meeting. During this two days event there would be sessions on a finalization of BRICS Employment Working Group, presentation by ILO on "Employment Generation for Inclusive Growth, presentation by India on possible Social Security Agreements amongst BRICS nations as well as a discussion on Draft BRICS Ministerial Declaration.
The BRICS Employment Working Group meeting is a prelude to the Meeting of BRICS Labour and Employment Ministerial Meeting under the Indian Presidency, scheduled to be held on September 27 to 28 in Agra.

India assumed the rotating Chair of the BRICS in February, 2016. So far, seven BRICS summits have taken place and the 8th BRICS summit will be hosted by India during its chairmanship in October 2016 in Goa.
