MOSCOW (Sputnik) — German police identified the gunman who mortally wounded a doctor on Tuesday at a clinic in the southwestern Berlin district as an elderly German patient who received treatment there the day before.
"The attacker was a 72-year-old German who only yesterday received treatment at the CBF [clinic] in Steglitz," Berlin police tweeted.

The doctor died in intensive care after he was shot at by the attacker at the Campus Benjamin Franklin hospital. The gunman then killed himself. Police said he had acted alone and had no apparent links to terrorism.
