In the upper part of the gun you can install the smartphone to use its camera (which is in line with the barrel of the gun) to shoot the target more precisely. The video shows how the gun is working on the example of Pikachu — a live "target" dressed in the costume of Pokémon.
The gun has fourteen ‘Pokémonballs' which are being used as a kind of bullet. The balls create an "explosion" when they hit a Pokémon.
The game, first released in Japan, the United States, Australia and New Zealand, is now available in more than 30 countries. It has become a worldwide hit and has already been blamed for a wave of crimes, traffic violations and complaints in cities around the globe.
