MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian national gymnastics team has been allowed to compete in the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, International Federation of Gymnastics (FIG) Vice President Vasily Titov said Wednesday.
"All Russian national teams have been fully admitted. These are the gymnastics team, the rhythmic gymnastics team and the trampoline team," Titov told R-Sport.
Russia has been accused of running a state-sponsored doping program, which led to some athletes found guilty of abusing performance-enhancing substances being suspended from competitions.
