MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Partners in the Russia-led Nord Stream-2 natural gas pipeline project asked for a two-week extension of a deadline in formulating its response to the Polish antitrust regulator’s objection to the proposed joint venture, Polish media reported Thursday.
Last week, Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) objected to the establishment of a joint venture for the Nord Stream-2 project. It clarified that the UOKiK objection "does not determine the decision that is eventually issued" and issued a 14-day appeal deadline.
"The companies have already submitted an application to extend the response period for objections we presented by another 14 days," UOKiK official Malgorzata Kozak told Poland’s PAP news service.
