MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia is interested in investments, including from China, in mineral resources exploration, Russian Natural Resources and Environment Minister Sergei Donskoi said Thursday.
"We are interested in [attracting] investments in geological exploration, including from Chinese companies. Soon we will have the opportunity to demonstrate the high investment potential of the use of subsurface resources in the Russian Far East at the Eastern Economic Forum. I know that today, it is investors from China who are showing great interest in the event," Donskoi said on his Facebook page.
Chinese investors are expected to contribute up to 90 percent of the funds to finance 10 percent of the project’s estimated cost, with the rest coming from the venture's initiators and lenders.
