MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The recently established independent Anti-Doping Commission of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) will not be financed with federal budget money, chair of the commission Vitaly Smirnov said Thursday.
"We will not ask for money from the budget, but look forward to modest donations from the ROC> We hope that we will be sympathized with and supported without state money," Smirnov said at the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency press conference.
Smirnov named eight new figures from across sports and media fields to the 27-member commission formed by President Vladimir Putin last week.
