ANKARA (Sputnik) — Turkey's Supreme Military Council held a meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, earlier on Thursday to review the situation in the armed forces in light of the July 15 coup attempt.
"Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar, Land Forces Commander Gen. Salih Zeki Çolak, Air Force Commander Gen. Abidin Ünal, and Navy Commander Adm. Bülent Bostanoğlu will continue work in their posts," Kalin told reporters.
