MOSCOW (Sputnik) — New Russian Ambassador to Ukraine will be appointed in the near future, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.
"We expect that the new Russian Ambassador to Ukraine will be appointed in the near future. As soon as the necessary diplomatic procedures are carried out, and a decree is signed, we will inform you," Peskov said.
On Thursday, Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov was released from the post by the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
