MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The testing of Russia’s latest MC-21 passenger jet airliner will be completed by next year, with mass production expected in 2018, head of the Rostec corporation Sergei Chemezov said Tuesday.
“[Tests] are underway now, the first stage is ending,” Chemezov said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "I hope that if they are successful, we will complete all testing in 2016-2017 and launch mass production in 2018."
