MOSCOW (Sputnik) — China, which is the world's largest energy consumer, connected its 35th atomic reactor to the power grid in July and has 20 more units under construction.
The United States ranks first with a hundred of operating nuclear reactors, followed by France with 58 reactors and Japan with 43 units, although Tokyo ordered most of them shut over safety concerns after the 2011 meltdown in Fukushima.
