Turkey Sends US New Extradition Request for Gulen - Justice Minister
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said earlier in the day that Turkey has sent another request for the United States to extradite Gulen.

"No, I have not heard about a second document," Kirby said when asked if he knows anything about Ankara’s second request. "I’d refer you to the Justice Department on all questions about extradition.”

On July 15, an attempted coup took place in Turkey that was suppressed the following day. Over 240 people were killed during the coup attempt and an estimated 2,000 were wounded. Ankara has accused Gulen and his followers of playing a key role in the coup. Gulen has denied the accusations.
