'Live Painting' Illusion: Art Brought to Life (VIDEO)
15:40 GMT 03.08.2016 (Updated: 15:52 GMT 03.08.2016) Alexa Meade, an American artist, creates amusing 3D and 2D installations with real people and objects.
Meade has been making installations since 2009.
For the past years, Meade has been creating “live paintings” at the Irving Arts Center in Washington.
Wth the participation of people covered in acrylic paints Meade creates an illusion of conventional two-dimensional paintings.
Besides “live paintings," Meade makes photographs of her work, creating incredible illusions and turning them into 3D and 2D pictures.
For her short clip named “Proposal," a man made a real life proposal to his girlfriend.
Meade has no artistic education. After one year of work as Barack Obama’s press-secretory, she decided to leave the world of politics and devote herself to art.
Meade creates artwork similar to those made by the hit Russian art app Prisma.
The Russian app transforms smartphone photos into stylized works of art in the style of famous artists such as Pablo Picasso and Vincent Van Gogh.
