WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Kerry spoke at the meeting with the foreign ministers of the C5 group, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
“The second project is aimed at increasing trade in key sectors of our economies and making our economies more competitive,” Kerry said, noting that the one first project is joint cooperation to combat terrorism.
Wednesday’s meeting in Washington, DC is the second meeting in this format, and follows November's ministerial meeting in Samarkand, Uzbekistan last fall.
In 2015, Kerry and the five foreign ministers approved the creation of a new format of interaction for the C5+1 for holding regular political dialogue on issues of common interest.
