MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The borders controls were introduces due to the NATO summit that took place in Warsaw on July 8-9 and World Youth Day, an international Catholic event hosted by Poland in late July.
"From July 4 to August 2, the Border Service inspected 484, 986 people and 54, 338 vehicles, detained 321 people and refused entry to 144 people," the Polish Border Guard said.
Citizens of 43 countries are among the over 300 detainees, according to the statement.
