Guttman believes that voter laws always come into controversy around election time so that both of America’s two major political parties can put themselves in the best position to get as many votes as possible.
"This happens every four years," Guttman explained. "Each side tries to get as many people to the polls as possible, because the name of the game is to win the elections. The Republicans and Democrats do that all the time. Right now the thing in North Carolina would seem to benefit the Democrats and that’s a state that, if the Republicans don’t win, it’s going to be hard for them to get the 270 electoral votes."
"Trump’s setting up for a loss in November, so he’s trying to say it’s rigged, but he actually has some points," Guttman said. "We saw Bernie Sanders who did incredibly well and got over a thousand delegates, and when we get to the Democratic convention we found out through WikiLeaks that the leadership of the Democratic Party was favoring Hillary Clinton, which was so obvious, but now we have the actual proof. The chairwoman of the [Democratic National Convention] resigned, four or five people with the leadership of the Democrat Party resigned…So when Trump and others say it was rigged, it’s proven now that it was rigged in favor of Hillary Clinton."
He added, "At this point I’m predicting that Trump won’t even be in the race by November. Obviously HIllary’s got the edge now … Republicans are leaving Trump in droves and supporting Hillary, which is odd because this was the Republican Convention’s election to win. All they had to do was put up someone who was somewhat sane. [Ohio Governor John] Kasich or Marco Rubio, and they would’ve won."
Guttman suggested that even though recent controversies have cast Clinton in a bad light, she is still seen as a more legitimate choice than Trump, whose campaign is undermined by a boisterous and vague platform.
"She’s considered untruthful by the FBI Director. People are mad she didn’t get indicted…She must be thanking God or whoever she prays to that the Republicans are so idiotic they put up Donald Trump. There were 16 other people, and they chose this guy. He’s going out there every day, I think he thinks he’s appealing to his base, but after a while people get tired of someone just complaining… so far his plans are to build a ridiculous wall to keep everybody out, which is against American values, and to start a trade war with China. Other than that, I haven’t heard him say anything."
