ANKARA (Sputnik) — On Wednesday, the press service of the Russian Culture Ministry said that the inter-departmental Russian delegation led by the Russian Deputy Culture Minister, Sergey Obryvalin, would visit Istanbul and Antalya on August 4-5 to discuss the implementation of recommendations on safety of Russian tourists in Turkey.
The report on the assessment of the situation on the Turkish resorts will be presented at the Russian government meeting following the delegation's visit.
"Istanbul hosts a meeting with the Russian delegation. We will open a blank page in the Turkish-Russian relations," Yayman wrote on his Twitter account.
The delegation consisting of 14 people, on Thursday carried out inspection of the International Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, according to the Anadolu news agency. The delegation will also visit Istanbul police department and the governor's administration, and then head to Istanbul's second Sabiha Gokcen Airport.
On Friday, the delegation will leave for Antalya to carry out safety inspections in the tourism sector in the region.
