"Near Dayr Az Zawr [Deir Ezzor], one strike destroyed 14 ISIL [Islamic State] oil tankers," the release said on Friday.
The coalition conducted three additional airstrikes in Syria near the city of Manbij, hitting two separate Daesh tactical units and destroying one fighting position and a command and control node.
In Iraq, nine coalition airstrikes near six cities hit four Daesh tactical units and destroyed vehicles, oil tankers, ammunition caches and more. Near Mosul, one additional strike destroyed three Daesh vehicles, a mortar system and a command and control node.
The Iraq operations are coordinated with and in support of the government of Iraq, but the strikes in Syria are conducted without the approval of President Bashar Assad.
The Islamic State terrorist group, also known as Daesh in Arabic, is outlawed in the United States, Russia and numerous other countries.
