MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The airstrike was carried out in the Achin district, Khaama Press reported, citing the country’s Defense Ministry.
No more details of the airstrike were given including the information whether it was carried out by US or Afghan air forces.
On Saturday, the Afghan Defense Ministry said that the country’s security forces had killed at least 60 militants, including 21 Daesh terrorists, during a military operation in the Nangarhar province.
Afghanistan has been experiencing significant political, social and security-related instability for decades, as radical extremist organizations, including the Taliban and Daesh, continue to stage attacks against civilian and military targets.
