MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A gang in Romania is selling military-grade weapons from Ukraine to Western Europe and Middle East, an investigation by British media revealed Sunday.
"We bring them from Ukraine with the ammunition, as much as you want," one of the gang members was quoted as saying by Sky News, as he displayed the range of weapons to the broadcaster's journalists.
The gang is said to be willing to sell weapons to anyone who could pay, whether it is a bank robber, a mass murderer or a terrorist.

The gang members reportedly said that their weapons were smuggled from Ukraine into Romania, from where they were transferred by another gang primarily to Western Europe and also to the Middle East.
Arms traded by the gang are said to be of high quality, many of them brand new, including the AK-47 rifles. The gang also sells semi-automtaic rifles, shot guns, hunting rifles and pistols, and has links with the suppliers of grenades, rocket-propelled grenades and mines.
The reports come amid a heightened security alert in Europe following several recent terrorist attacks, including a truck running over a crowd in France's Nice and a suicide bombing near an open-air music festival in Ansbach, a city in the German state of Bavaria.
