DYAGILEVO AIRFIELD (Russia), (Sputnik) — A drones competition may be included in the next Aviadarts international flight skills tournament, Russian Aerospace Forces Commander Col. Gen. Viktor Bondarev said Tuesday.
"It is always possible to invent something new. For example, it is necessary to introduce drones competitions, it is necessary to make a huge step in this direction," Bondarev told journalists.
The international air forces tournament Aviadarts-2016 that concluded earlier in the day in Ryazan is one of the 23 disciplines in the 2016 International Army Games (IAG), which are currently underway in Russia. A total of 121 teams from 19 countries from across the world are taking part in the IAG which are being monitored by observers from 11 countries.
