MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Domestically producing petrochemical equipment is "a major step and a new beginning in an era of development of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s petrochemical industries," Tasnim News Agency cited the ministry's statement as asserting.
According to the media outlet, the domestically-produced refining equipment is the latest achievement in a series of technical inventions made by Iranian petrochemists for the national oil industry.
After Iran made a nuclear deal in July 2015 with the P5+1 group of countries including the United States, Russia, France, China and Britain plus Germany guaranteeing the peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear program, the European Union, the United Nations and partially the United States lifted sanctions against Iran, enabling it to restart oil supplies to the global market.
