MOSCOW (Sputnik) – International conflicts are the main fear of Russian citizens, a poll conducted by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) said Wednesday.
"Conflicts between states (including military ones) are still at the top of the ‘rating’ of Russian citizens’ fears," the research said.
Another major source of fears for Russian citizens is economic and social instability, which came at the first position of the "rating" a month ago.
According to the poll, Russian citizens are also afraid of crime, unrest in the country and natural disasters.
The poll was conducted on July 16–17 among 1,600 people from 130 settlements in 46 Russian regions.
