"Moscow hopes that regional and international partners will in the end be realistically engaged in helping Syria overcome its charged internal contradictions on the basis of the principles of the UN charter and the Security Council resolutions," the ministry said.
Chief of the Main Operational Directorate Lt. Gen. Sergei Rudskoy said the Syrian government forces and the Russian air groups were ready to provide security to all organizations interested in delivering aid to the residents of Aleppo.
The ministry reaffirmed on Thursday Rudskoy’s assurances that all interested humanitarian organizations would be provided with security guarantees in their aid deliveries to Aleppo. It further voiced support for a UN proposal to establish joint control over deliveries along the main supply road known as Castello.
