MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Georgia is sabotaging talks aimed at adopting documents to prevent the use of force in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Friday.
"It is impossible not to see the irony of Georgia's self-praise in regard to its allegedly exceptional contribution to reducing tensions and settling the political situation in the region. In reality, the Georgian side is consistently sabotaging work at Geneva discussions on documents for the non-use of force, blocking the discussion of the refugee problem by promoting politicized resolutions at the UN General Assembly, constantly resorting to informational provocations and confrontational rhetoric," the ministry said in a statement.
Tbilisi also continues with "propaganda cliches about 'aggression,' 'ethnic cleansing,' 'annexation,' 'occupation.' There is no point of disassembling the legal and factual inadequacy of these fabrications," the statement reads.
