NEW DELHI (Sputnik) – The six crew members of the Pakistani Mi-17 helicopter that were captured by Taliban terrorists in Afghanistan after crash landing have been released and taken to Islamabad, Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammed Nafees Zakaria said on Saturday.
"The Six crew members of Punjab government [Mi-17] helicopter that went missing in Afghanistan on August 4, 2016 have been released and arrived in Islamabad today," he told RIA Novosti.
Nafees Zakaria added that Russian national Sergei Sevastyanov was among those freed.
