Russia's Anoshkin Earns Bronze in Men's Kayak Single 100M at Rio Olympics
13:34 GMT 16.08.2016 (Updated: 13:35 GMT 16.08.2016) Russia’s Roman Anoshkin earned a bronze medal at the Rio Olympics men’s kayak single 100m event Tuesday, bringing the country its 36th total medal.
RIO DE JANEIRO (Sputnik) – Anoshkin’s time of 3 minutes and 33.363 seconds was bested by the Czech Republic’s Josef Dostal, whose 3:32.145 earned him silver, and Spain’s gold medalist Marcus Walz (3:31.447).
The Summer Olympic Games are being held in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro from August 5 until August 21. Brazil is the first South American country to host the competition.
