MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A special operations team was sent in to detain the 27-year-old German in the state of Brandenburg, according to information obtained by the Tagesspiegel newspaper.

The man, reportedly a member of the fundamentalist Salafi sect, planned to detonate a bomb packed with nails at the festival that will take place in the town of Eisenhuettenstadt on August 26-28.
