MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A court in Moscow dismissed Google’s appeal of the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service’s (FAS) decision in a market dispute that the sides failed to settle out of court, an online index of arbitration cases indicated Wednesday.
"Leave the court’s decision unchanged, the complaint dismissed," the Moscow appeals court ruling states.
FAS fined the US tech giant an equivalent of $6.7 million for violating the mobile application market last week, setting the payment deadline at two weeks.
Last September, FAS found the US tech giant in violation of a number of Russia’s anti-monopoly laws, including abuse of dominance on the pre-installed Android software applications market.
