MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The bulletin added that the terrorist groups continue their efforts aimed at violation of the ceasefire regime.
"Within last 24 hours, terrorists have shelled with MLRS and mortars Khai-al-Ansari quarter, cement and gas plants, purification facilities and the Kastello trade center in the Aleppo city," the bulletin said.
Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011, with government forces loyal to President Bashar Assad fighting numerous opposition factions and extremist groups.
The Russia-US brokered ceasefire regime in Syria came into force on February 27. The Jabhat Fatah Al-Sham and the Daesh, which have been outlawed in a number of countries including Russia.
Aleppo has been mired in intense fighting over the past few months, with the Syrian army and local militia forces having managed to encircle large groups of militants in eastern districts of the city.
