Tech Battle: Apple and Microsoft Release Ads Mocking Each Other
18:21 GMT 18.08.2016 (Updated: 19:32 GMT 03.11.2022) In response, to Apple’s promotional video that the iPad Pro will be able to replace a desktop computer, Microsoft released a video in which it ridiculed the possibility of a tablet, comparing it with a new device Surface Pro.
One of the most famous advertising battles is back! The two videos were posted on Apple and Surface’s YouTube channels respectively.
In the video Microsoft invited iPad Pro to a party of large computers, where it was explained that the gadget from Apple is not a laptop, but only a tablet with a keyboard.
“You have the same powerful processor as Core i7?” asks Cortana, Microsoft’s virtual voice assistant. Siri, Apple’s virtual voice assistant, then asks, “Where's your USB-port?”
The advertising contest was liked by the users and shared vastly. The ads also come at a critical time for the companies, with the back-to-school shopping season now in full force and sales for tablets and PCs declining.
