WASHINGTON (Sputnik) —The US-led coalition against the Daesh destroyed 38 oil tanker trucks near the Iraqi city of Mosul on Wednesday, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a press release.
“Near Mosul, four strikes struck three ISIL [Daesh] tactical units and destroyed 38 ISIL oil tanker trucks, five ISIL vehicles, and six ISIL assembly areas and denied ISIL access to terrain,” the release said on Thursday.
Besides, another airstrike in Iraq near Ramadi destroyed two Daesh vehicles, and a shelter, according to the Central Command.
The US-led coalition of more than 60 nations has been carrying out airstrikes in Syria and Iraq since the summer of 2014.
Daesh is outlawed in the United States, Russia and numerous other countries throughout the world.
