BALI (Sputnik) – According to the newspaper, Indonesia first planned to sink 71 boats on Wednesday, which is the 71st anniversary of national independence.
"I think it is already quite a strong message [to foreign countries and their fishing fleets]," Pudjiastuti told journalists on Wednesday, as quoted by The Jakarta Post.
Since 2014, over 200 illegal fishing boats have been sunk in Indonesia.
