Belgian authorities have already paid 674,500 euros ($763,000 at the current exchange rates) to the victims of the March terrorist attacks in the Belgian capital of Brussels, Belgian Justice Ministry said in a statement.

BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — According to the statement published on Thursday, "674,500 euros of emergency aid was paid."

The statement added that a special body created to deal with aid requests from people affected by the attacks had already received 215 such requests.

On March 22, two explosions hit Brussels Airport. A third blast hit Maelbeek metro station near the headquarters of the EU institutions. The explosions killed over 30 people and injured more than 300. The Daesh terrorist group, outlawed in many countries including Russia, claimed responsibility for the attacks.
