RIO DE JANEIRO (Sputnik) – Denisenko lost to Jordan’s Ahmad Abughaush with a score of 10 to 6 in the Thursday finals.
Bronze went to South Korea’s Lee Dae-hoon and Spain’s Joel Gonzalez.
Denisenko’s silver is Russia’s 44th medal at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. Russia currently has 12 gold medals, 15 silvers and 17 bronzes.
The 2016 Summer Olympic Games are being held in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro from August 5 until August 21. Brazil is the first South American country to host the competition.
