A group of international observers from NATO, Russia, Switzerland and Sweden have carried out inspections of the Estonian military in accordance with the OSCE Vienna Document, the Estonian Defense Forces Headquarters said Friday.
TALLINN (Sputnik) — The Vienna Document is aimed at confidence and security building in Europe and envisages OSCE member states providing each other with information on their armed forces, defense planning and military budget details, as well as exchanging military observers and carrying out inspections.
17 August 2016, 18:21 GMT
"A group of inspectors numbering 25 people, which included NATO officers alongside observers from Russia, Switzerland and Sweden, visited the location of the second infantry brigade of the Estonian Defense Forces and inspected the brigade's armaments as well as Estonian military service personnel training. The inspection results will be sent to the OSCE," the headquarters said in a statement.
