MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Wang's department is said to have developed a large family of cruise missiles for the Chinese military.
"Our future cruise missiles will have a very high level of artificial intelligence and automation. They will allow commanders to control them in a real-time manner, or to use a fire-and-forget mode, or even to add more tasks to in-flight missiles," Wang told the China Daily newspaper in an interview.
He added that China was a global leader in the artificial intelligence field.
In March, China announces 7.6 percent defense budget rise, lowest in six years, reaching $146 billion.
