WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Local police in the US state of Arkansas found at least two and possibly more pipe bombs at an intersection of two roads, according to local media reports.
"Greene County officials found more than one pipe bomb near the intersection of Monroe Street and Business 49 Monday afternoon," the ABC network affiliate KAIT station reported.
KAIT cited police officer, Deputy Rick Mellow, as saying an individual discovered the explosive devices and reported them to the authorities.
The police then then took possession of the devices and planned to explode them at a safe location, the report continued.
An investigation has been launched to discover the origin of the devices, KAIT said.
