MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Moscow wants Ukraine to present evidence of violating rights of the Ukrainian diaspora in Russia, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said on Tuesday.
"If there are really some single facts, present them. There is a Ukrainian embassy working in Moscow. If you have concrete evidence… if you believe that Russia mistreats the Ukrainian diaspora… present some facts," Zakharova told the Vesti FM radio broadcaster.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko earlier expressed concern about the situation with the Ukrainian diaspora in Russia.
Russian-Ukrainian relations worsened after 2014 coup in Kiev that toppled President Viktor Yanukovich and Crimean reunification with Russia.
