Pokémon Go is a free augmented reality mobile game, where the picture displayed on the smartphone screen is projected onto real-world locations. The aim of the game is to catch Pokémon, pocket monsters. It has become a worldwide hit since its launch in July and has already been blamed for a wave of crimes, traffic violations and complaints in cities around the globe.
Amid growing popularity of the mobile application, Thai authorities began on limiting the game on the territory of the country over security concerns. Police campaign to arrest the Pokémon Go players, whose actions may lead to violations, began in Bangkok on Monday. It commonly check drivers and pedestrians, who might be running along the highway, running across the street, interfering traffic, while too much involved in the game.
