Earlier, President of the Association of Entrepreneurs for Development of Business-Patriotism in Russia (AVANTI) Rahman Yansukov in a letter addressed the production companies holding the rights for the Bond films with a proposal to shoot new movies in Russia's Crimea. The document was sent to EON Productions, Metro-Golden-Mayer Inc and Danjaq.
"I support any creative initiative. Crimea is a blessed motion picture space; any thematic film can be shot here, including James Bond. Crimea should actively regain its glory as a world cinematic center, so we are supporting this initiative," Novoselskaya told RIA Novosti.
According to the minister, Yalta Film Studio, which is in a stage of active recovery, could participate in the shooting.
"We have gorgeous, stunning natural scenery in the Belogorsk region, where The Headless Horseman was filmed; the resort cities of Yalta and Alushta look wonderful in the evening. I think that we have a place for the film on any subject," the minister stressed.
Formed in 1917, Yalta film studio was used for filming many major Soviet-era films, including The Blue Bird, the only co-production project between the Soviet Union and the United States.
