ANKARA (Sputnik) – The Turkish armed forces, backed by the US-led coalition aircraft, launched a campaign dubbed "Euphrates Shield" to clear Jarablus of extremist militants in the early hours of Wednesday.
Operations in this region are part of Coalition's effort. Turkey is assisting this effort with other Coalition elements.

He reiterated Ankara’s calls for the Syrian Kurdish forces to leave the area west of Euphrates, warning that otherwise the Turkish forces "will take the necessary measures."
YPG elements must immediately move to the east of Euphrates. Otherwise Turkey will take necessary measures.
