MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Southern district is part of the August 25-31 checks running across Russia's Western and Central military districts, as well as the Northern Fleet, Aerospace Forces and Airborne Troops.
"The Black Sea Fleet and Caspian Flotilla naval forces have been alerted to carry out tasks as part of the snap combat readiness inspection, with crews of tactical, transport and army aviation [readied] for flights and combat use," the press service said.
